After ultra-wide-field OCTA technology was included in "Guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy in China", "Expert consensus on clinical diagnosis and treatment pathways for Retinal Vein Occlusion in China" once again included ultra-wide-field OCTA. 

It was clearly pointed out that "the ultra-wide-field OCTA that has emerged in recent years can clearly display non-perfusion areas with less impact by deep and superficial retinal hemorrhage. Therefore, for units with OCTA examination conditions, OCTA is recommended as initial and follow-up assessment tools for eyes with severe intraretinal hemorrhage at the initial diagnosis when it is expected that FFA will not be able to clearly display NPA". "It is recommended to perform ultra-wide-field FFA or ultra-wide-field OCTA examination during initial diagnosis and evaluation of RVO".
