“Sunglasses” in the eyeball. Retinal cystoid abnormalities (Fig1) near the equator in an eye associated with chronic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. The case is published in Ophthalmic Images of JAMA Ophthalmology.

It was very kind of Prof. Dan Cao, to share another pair of “sunglasses” captured recently. Patient underwent preoperative examination before LAISK, peripheral retinal degeneration was found. OCT detected the manifestation of pre-retinal membrane and vitreoretinal traction (Fig2).
Both B-scan and SLO images were taken by TowardPi BMizar swept source system. An ultrawide field system for not only OCT, but also OCTA.
