A 12-year-old boy presented with distorted vision in his left eye for 3 years was found bilateral, multiple, discrete, round, yellow-white, atrophic, punched-out spots and concentric chorioretinal streaks in the color fundus images (A and B, top).
Full-range SS-OCTA (BMizar, TowardPi Medical) images revealed choriocapillaris blood flow defects (A and B, bottom right) corresponding to a typical window defect and scar staining of the lesions in FFA images (A and B, bottom left). Secondary choroidal neovascularization in the left eye (arrowhead) was also detected.
Beautiful case report published on JAMA Ophthalmology.
This case was authored by Dr. Li Zhang and Dr. Ying-Ying Chen, team of Prof. Mei-Xia Zhang from Sichuan University West China Hospital.
