TowardPi Medical was established in 2017. Its core technology originates from the transformation of scientific and technological achievements at Tsinghua University and was incubated by the Tsinghua Industrial R&D Institute. The company's core technical team consists of dozens of faculty members and students from various disciplines at Tsinghua University, including electronics, biomedical engineering, and precision instruments. Leveraging Tsinghua's technology platform, TowardPi Medical has developed a series of globally leading high-end medical devices.
The company has nearly 400 employees, including a research and development team of over 100, with total R&D investment exceeding 800 million RMB.
TowardPi Medical has become an internationally recognized brand in the field of high-end ophthalmic medical equipment. Its product line includes swept-source OCT, surgical microscopes, ultra-widefield fundus cameras, optical biometers, integrated phaco-vitrectomy systems, femtosecond laser cataract surgery systems, and AI-based ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment systems. Its products are sold in dozens of countries worldwide. The company's OCT product was awarded the Second Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award.
