Race against time! CRAO recanalization recorded by 400K speed SS-OCTA!
A 66-year-old female complained of right eye rapid vision loss in one hour. Typical diffuse retinal whitening with a cherry-red spot in the macula. UWF-OCTA showed non-perfusion in the entire retina due to central retinal arterial occlusion. Following the OCTA scan the process of recanalization. VA improved from NLP to 0.1.

400kHz speed swept-source OCTA (BMizar, TowardPi Medical) was used in the case.   It successfully completed the scans when the patient had low visual acuity, even No Light Perception.
This case was reported in "JFO Open Ophthalmology", authored by Dr. Xiaohu Liu, and the team of Prof. Guoping Wang, from Ineye Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM.
