Massive hemorrhagic retinal pigment epithelial detachment (PED) secondary
Fig1. 24 mm SS-OCT image before surgery demonstrated the subretinal hemorrhage (green asterisk) and elevation of RPE temporal
Fig2. 24 mm SS-OCT image taken 1 day after surgery proved flattening of PED, a double-layer sign, and choroidal excavation together with mild subretinal fluid in the macula.
Patient underwent PPV combined with subretinal injection of tPA, intravitreous injection of anti-VEGF medicine, and perfluoropropane tamponade.

Case reports from American Journal of Ophthalmology (AJO).
All OCT images in the report were captured by BMizar, a 400KHz speed SS-OCT from TowardPi. 24 mm width and 6 mm depth accommodated very well for large size massive PED.
